My Story

Hi there! I'm Berwick, a passionate crafter based in the beautiful coastal town of Cleethorpes, England. My love for macrame began in 2018 after watching a crafting program that featured stunning macrame Christmas decor. Inspired by the intricate knots and beautiful patterns, I decided to give it a try.

What started as a hobby quickly turned into a passion. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I launched my online macrame business on Instagram. With the support of a growing community, my creations began to gain popularity. This success led me to join the Arttopia creative hub. Through my involvement with Arttopia, I gained valuable experience and exposure, which ultimately led me to join the Original Emporium collective and most recently joining Design44 based in Derby.

I'm driven by my love for creating unique and meaningful pieces. I enjoy developing new ideas and experimenting with different techniques. Whether it's a cozy wall hanging or a functional plant hanger, I take pride in crafting each piece with care and attention to detail.

Sustainability and Ethical Sourcing

As a responsible crafter, I believe in the importance of using sustainable and ethical materials in all of my projects. This is why I exclusively use Oeko-Tek® Standard cotton cord for my macrame creations.

Oeko-Tek® Standard cotton cord is a certified textile that meets strict environmental and safety standards. It is made from recycled cotton fibers, which helps to reduce waste and conserve resources. Additionally, the production process is free from harmful chemicals and dyes, ensuring that my products are safe for both people and the planet.

By choosing to use Oeko-Tek® Standard cotton cord, I am making a conscious effort to reduce my environmental impact and support ethical sourcing practices. I believe that it is essential for all crafters to consider the sustainability of their materials and to make choices that align with their values.

In addition to using sustainable materials, I also strive to minimize waste in my creative process. I carefully plan my projects to avoid unnecessary scraps and I often repurpose leftover materials for smaller projects. I believe that it is important to be mindful of our consumption habits and to strive for a more sustainable way of living.
